The film Komaram Puli starring Pawan Kalyan is scheduled to commence its final phase of shooting from January 3, 2009 for a forty-five day period to complete the talkie part.
The picturisation of songs will be taken-up in Feb-March. The music has been composed by AR Rahman. This film is being produced by Singanamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanakaratna Movies and directed by SJ Surya. A noted Mumbai model Nikhisha is making her debut as heroine with this film.
Pawan is said be donning the role of a special police officer in this film which will be ready for release during the summer vacations.

Pawan’s film career
With the release of Akkada Abbai Ikkada Ammayi, power star was raised to stardom. The movie was a hit of the year 1996. Pawan attracted a great fan following with his debut film.
From the year 1998, Pawan gave three simultaneous hits with his films Tholi Prema, Thammudu and Badri. The 3 movies were super hits at the box office and collected huge profits. From then on Pawan started to demand the Nizam film distribution rights as an extra remuneration.
Khushi breached all the records of Telugu film industry with a collection of Rs 43 crores in the year 2001.
Then in the year 2008, Pawan again got his recognition as a hit star with the movie Jalsa topping the Telugu film charts. In the year 2007 when Pawan Kalyan’s divorce case was taking a new turn, the power star started a organization named as Common Man Protection Force and that too in the month of October 2007 when his brother’s daughter Srija eloped with her lover Sirish.
He explained that this organization will work against the corruption and also will destroy those who exploit women in any manner. Kalyan donated an amount of Rs 1 crore and dedicated the amount to the social service. Unfortunately, the CMPF force received an open criticism by saying that it was just a publicity stunt in order to pave path for his brother Chiranjeevi’s political entry. From that day onwards the force was alleged of many accusations, but till date neither it was involved in a social service nor was the money properly accounted.
